Tax Collection Information

Tompkins Trust Company handles all tax collection for Lansing Central School District

  • Payments are mailed to the lockbox at:  Lansing Central School District, C/o Tompkins Trust Company, PO Box 404, Ithaca, NY 14851

  • May be made in person at any Tompkins Trust Company location

    • cash payments will not be accepted at the bank

  • Full payments may be also be made online via credit card or e-check at Tax Lookup (fees may apply)

2024-25 Tax Collection: 

September 1 - September 30

  • Full payments without penalty

  • Mailed payments must be postmarked by 9/30/24

  • 1st installment payments with service charge (2.5%)

    • the 2.5% service charge is on the full amount of the tax bill

       

October 1 - October 31

  • Full payments with 2% penalty

  • Mailed payments must be postmarked by 10/31/24

March 3

  • 2nd Installment payments due

After October 31st, all outstanding tax payments are sent to Tompkins County Finance Department to be re-levied to the following year's Town/County tax bill.  For any questions regarding outstanding tax payments, please contact 607-274-5545 or Email Finance.
